Date:  22.04.2024 (Monday)
Time: 17:30 – 18:00
Abstract: It is possible to set up private campus networks locally on a temporary basis, but just like a permanent campus network, this requires centrally controlled regulation of the allocation of licences. The use of 5G in nomadic networks offers a wide range of applications in areas such as agriculture, emergency services and construction sites. Based on the white paper on the needs of nomadic networks and the BMDV 5G-ADirI project launched in 2024, a digital twin system for automated 5G frequency application/allocation for nomadic campus networks is to be designed and prototypically developed. In this panel, we would like to discuss temporal and territorial requirements from nomadic use cases as well as the potential benefits of such a digital system with market players such as network operators, manufacturers, integrators and research. The focus will be on technical and regulatory aspects.

Presentation at the Energy Forum by WTSH

Stop by our booth at Hall 12, Booth B34, to learn more about how AI and Digital Twins are essential to increasing energy efficiency in mobile networks.

Title: AI and digital twins for boosting energy efficiency in mobile networks
Speaker: Andreas Scheipers, Senior Software Engineer & Product Owner
Venue: Energy Forum, Hall 12, Booth B43 (Schleswig-Holstein joint booth)
Date: 23.04.2024 (Tuesday)
Time: 14:00-14:30
Abstract: With more and more mobile network users and a higher density of mobile cells due to the introduction of 5G technology, energy consumption in the mobile network is increasing. The base stations account for the largest energy consumption in the network. Predicting the energy consumption of mobile cells and user behavior at certain locations at certain times serves as the basis for optimizing energy consumption. AI, digital twins and simulations are used for this purpose.
